Instagram and Twitter Wall Engage 16th Hole Fans at the 2016 Phoenix Open
The Waste Management Phoenix Open, one of the most anticipated and largest events on the PGA Tour, made it’s way to Scottsdale for another memorable year. With some of the biggest names in golf, and the biggest crowds, brands have taken advantage of the opportunity to connect with fans on site.
To help the main sponsor, Waste Management, engage and encourage social conversation, our team created an Instagram and Twitter wall display that pulled in some of the main hashtags for the weekend. These included #FIO16, #GreenestShow, and #Recycling101. On site crews added our social display to their main screen at the tent of the most popular hole on the course, #16…
Alongside the social feed, a live feed of the golf action and scores kept visitors up to date with the action. Throughout the weekend, the social conversation spiked, with the # of posts and impressions surging.
Besides the great finish to the golf tournament, the event was a big success yet again. We hope to be a part of the 2017 Waste Management Open!
