DDFR, or Digital Diaspora Family Reunion, is a multimedia community engagement initiative which includes DDFR.TV. A recent documentary by Thomas Allen Harris, THROUGH A LENS DARKLY: BLACK PHOTOGRAPHERS AND THE EMERGENCE OF A PEOPLE, made its world premier at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.
The film explores the role of photography so the team at DDFR wanted to integrate visual photo activations on site. In order to promote their premier and their #1World1Family hashtag, we provided one InstaBuzz kiosk and one InstaBuzz desktop print station.
Throughout the festival, all Instagram tagged photos were displayed on our kiosk and desktop station. Attendees were able to view and instantly print a branded photo takeaway, creating a connection for DDFR.TV both on site and through Instagram.
